Francisco Caputo is a founding partner of CBS based in Brasilia. He acts in high-risk cases and advises companies and financial institutions on a range of public and private matters. He is a Federal Counselor of the Brazilian Bar Association - OAB (2019 - 2022) and a member of the National Council of Justice - CNJ. He is former president of the Federal District Bar Association - OAB/DF (2010-2012) and was a member of the Council of the Republic (2018-2021). From 2007 to 2010, he was Regional Director of the Center for the Study of Law Firms - CESA and legislative advisor to the National Confederation of Industry Council - CNI. Since 2006, he has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Assis Chateaubriand Foundation.

His strong role in Judicial Litigation is recognized, especially with regard to the intensity with which he dedicates himself to complex litigation and emblematic cases. He conducts leading cases for various business segments. He acted to consolidate the understanding to recognize the absolute lawfulness of outsourcing in the energy distribution sector in public civil actions regarding the impact of civil works to contain erosive processes, on the protection of hydroelectric power plant slopes, and in litigation related to the delivery of transmission lines. His knowledge has been asserted in civil liability and litigation cases in contracts and areas of shopping centers, doctor-hospitals, and media companies.

Practice in the areas of Energy Regulatory Law and Environmental Law. Member of the Energy Law Committees of OAB/DF, OAB/PR and OAB/RS. She coordinated Legal and Regulatory Affairs at the Brazilian Clean Energy Generation Association (ABRAGEL), conducting strategic issues such as the regulation of dam safety, the recalculation of GSF compensation, and ADIs against state and municipal laws that restricted the deployment of hydroelectric power plants. She was a collaborator of the Board of Directors of the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL).

She is a Researcher at the Sectorial and Regulatory Law Center of the Law School of the University of Brasília (UnB) and a Guest Researcher at the Mackenzie Center for Advanced Studies in Public Policy and Integrity (Mackenzie-SP) focusing on research in the mining, energy, energy transition, ESG and biofuels sectors.
